« Cyber
Bullying is a willful and repeated harm inflicted through the use of computers,
cell phones, and other electronic devices ». Hinduja S, and Patchin J. W. (2009). Cyberbullying Prevention and
Response, Expert Perspectives.
Cyber bullying is an aggressive attitude
that is practiced online. It involves intimidating, embarrassing, harassing,
threatening, or otherwise cause to others harm via technological resources. Cyber
bullying could happen several times in children and adults’ life. That is
thanks to the variety of technological tools that are dispersal to them
nowadays. That is because kids and young adults increasingly use computers,
gaming consoles, and cell phones to access the Internet to communicate and interact
with one another. Modern technology has contributed to the empowering of human
abilities to communicate in ways that obviously did not exist in the past. Cyber bullying could be an extension of
physical bullying, that is some children and young adults revenge online
because they could not do that in reality or face to face.
The internet, computers, cell phones and
technological devices now make creating and conveying mean messages to individuals,
especially in the vicinity of children and adults, or groups potentially and
tremendously more effective and efficient. These technologies have enabled
messages consisting of text, images, photos, videos, and audio recordings to be
easily created and used for many purposes including cyber bullying.
There is no such thing as Cyber
Bullying. Adults make up these things to suppress kids and not let them have
fun with their own friends on the Internet.
